ENGLAND V SCOTLAND

From first tip tackle that sank Skye boat,
To amazing Joseph with his dream coat!
English scythe cut Calcutta cup,
Poor old Scotland once on the up,
Pretenders came in search of crown
But left with heads low bowed down.
Much soul searching for the Scottish slain,
To the training ground to think again!

England stutterers, from ugly ducklings;
Flourished with powerful brand of rugby.
The prickly thorns of English Rose,
Transformed to nymphs with twinkle toes,
Combined the power: a revolution,
Came together for Scots execution.
On to next week, Championship in hands
To Dublin with thoughts of retained Grand Slam!
